Christine Bovill sings PIAF

The award winning singer songwriter acknowledges a wide range of influences which have helped her evolve into a world class singer.
Part folk rock, part jazz, she is a beguiling performer from whom audiences have come to expect warm and wonderful things. Her voice that has been described as “as a sonic combination of cigarettes and dark chocolate”
During this acclaimed PIAF performance Christine will welcome you into a Parisian scented twilight world with a beautiful mix of sounds. She loving bathes in tones of dark velvet, the sounds of Montmartre.
Focusing almost exclusively on the music, the show provides an insight into the essence of Edith Piaf.  PIAF is a powerful musical homage to the much-revered French star.

“Bovill's voice is remarkable, note-perfect and  deftly achieving the husky, trembling vibrato needed to carry these songs.

Belfast Telegraph

“Piaf’s life was as dark as her iconic black dress, but PIAF the  show will expose the colour and hope in spite of it all. If you think you knew Piaf, then listen again to Christine Bovill performing Piaf in a French kaleidoscope of passion and colour.
Every time I hear Christine, I rediscover that same velvet darkness Edith covered over me.”
