WATERLOO EAST THEATRE
3 - 8 Nov 2026
Fleur De Lis Theatre Company presents
A Train To Woking
A dramatic comedy exploring the 19th-century London Necropolis Railway (LNR) and the final journey of its deceased passengers from Waterloo to Brookwood. Through a blend of vivid storytelling and physical theatre, the production transforms an important piece of history into a catalyst for conversations about mortality and the legacies we leave behind.
It’s the 19th century and London is plagued with disease. The overcrowded graveyards are unable accommodate the rate of fatality and the city needs a solution. As a means of response, the deceased must be transported out of the city and to their final resting place.
With support from South Western Railway, Brookwood Cemetery and The Woking & Sam Beare Hospice,.
