New British Musicals Festival 2019 at Waterloo East Theatre
Waterloo East Theatre will host a festival of New British Musicals April 29 – May 12 2019
where it will offer a platform for any new, or works in development, of a British Musical to present their work in a showcase format, with the aim to select a musical to develop and present a run at Waterloo East Theatre in 2020.

You will need to produce the showcase yourself, or have a producer on board, and provide all the creative team and performers. Waterloo East Theatre will only provide the venue and technical support and some marketing support.
All musical pieces must be presented in a showcase or rehearsed reading format with minimum set/costumes.
There will be several slots over the two weeks from evenings of Musical Briefs, where song/script ideas in progress can be tried out, (these must be no longer 20 minutes) to 60 or 90 minutes slots where you can showcase a full ‘in development’ musical . For the longer slots you can have the option of performing for one or two nights, depending on availability.
All companies must market and promote their own shows as part of the festival and all marketing materials must display both NBMF and WET logo’s on all print/online or any social media.
